As an avid recreational athlete I first went to see Dr. Kitchener (Tanice) in 2019 when I started experiencing left hip pain and weakness during ski season. She thoroughly evaluated me and suggested I see an orthopedic doctor to rule out anything more serious. I ended up needing arthroscopic hip surgery and Tanice helped keep me as pain free and strong as possible in the lead up to surgery. She was also instrumental in my recovery including her use of blood flow restriction therapy to regain my strength.

I’ve also had nagging back problems over the years. She figured out the root of the problem with her deep knowledge of how weakness in one part of the body can negatively impact other areas. No one has been able to give me as thorough an analysis of my issues. It’s amazing how interconnected everything is. We’ve been addressing some pelvic and core weaknesses that have greatly improved my back problem.

I went back to her in the fall of 2020 after experiencing elbow and shoulder pain from all the swimming I was doing. She quickly figured out the problem, treated me, and gave me exercises to do at home. After following the plan I am swimming pain free again.

I just can’t say enough about her. Her desire to keep up with the latest information in her profession along with her intuition and expert treatments has helped me through hip surgery, gall bladder surgery, and my recent elbow pain. She will always be an integral part of my care team. Above all she is just a wonderful human being who listens and wants you to get back to your active lifestyle.
